Every month

THE BASICS

Check oil level, lights, tire condition/pressure, and washer fluid.

Every six months

A CLOSER LOOK

Check battery connections, drains, coolant, seals, latches, parking brake, restraints, warning lamps, and wipers.

Oil-life monitor

FOLLOW THE MESSAGE

Service within two weeks or 500 miles of the message. Never exceed one year or 10,000 miles. Reset the monitor afterward.

At each oil service

INSPECT TOGETHER

Inspect tires, brakes, cooling, exhaust, driveline, steering, and suspension. Follow tire-rotation restrictions for your wheel setup.

Mileage milestones

LOOK AHEAD.

20,000 mi

Cabin filter

Replace every 20,000 miles.

30,000 mi

Engine air filter

Replace every 30,000 miles.

100,000 mi

Spark plugs

Replace every 100,000 miles; inspect accessory belts at this point.

150,000 mi

Transmission & belts

At 150,000 miles: automatic fluid/filter or manual fluid, plus accessory belts.

Coolant: initially six years/100,000 miles; then three years/50,000 miles, whichever comes first. Special operating conditions can shorten intervals. Review the source’s footnotes and exceptions before scheduling.
