Specialist Mustangs

THE BUILDER’S SIGNATURE.

Beyond the factory catalog, specialist builders create distinct combinations of power, chassis, and design. Identify the complete package before comparing specifications.

2021 Stage 3

ROUSH

ROUSH lists a supercharged 5.0L Stage 3 at 750 hp and 670 lb-ft, with a separate optional 775 hp upgrade. Package year, calibration, installed equipment, and supporting documentation determine the actual configuration.

302 White, Yellow & Black Label

Saleen

Saleen’s 302 family combines powertrain, body, and chassis changes in several specifications. Ratings changed between announcements and later specification sheets; use the build’s dated documentation rather than combining figures from different editions.

2024 Spec 2

RTR

RTR’s 2024 Spec 2 program adds its own styling, wheels, and adjustable suspension package to the Mustang GT platform. A package name does not establish a supercharger or a particular engine-output rating.

WHAT TO DOCUMENT.

Keep the builder’s serial information, original package invoice, calibration record, parts list, and maintenance supplement with the base Ford documentation. Aftermarket upgrades may change fluids, belts, spark plugs, tires, alignment, or service intervals.

The base-car manual remains useful for unchanged systems, but it cannot supply instructions for hardware it does not describe. Follow the builder’s applicable supplement and verify later modifications separately.
