WHY IT MATTERS.

A naturally aspirated four-valve V8 and shaker hood connect modern New Edge engineering with a historic Mustang name. Its live rear axle differs from the contemporary Cobra.

The 5.0L pushrod V8 continued in 1994–95 before the GT adopted the 4.6L modular engine for 1996. Bullitt, Mach 1, and Cobra R added distinctive engineering and character. The supercharged 2003–04 Cobra earned the enthusiast nickname Terminator.

BUYING & SERVICING.

Check convertible operation, cooling-system history, intake-manifold condition where applicable, and the quality of modifications. Cobra independent rear suspension requires different inspection and service references from a live-axle GT.

Check the exact vehicle's identification, records, and fitted equipment. Modified engines, transmissions, and brake packages require their own applicable documentation.
