KING COBRA.
The final Mustang II year includes the distinctive King Cobra treatment. Its graphics, aero pieces, and V8 identity make it a recognizable collectible.
The Mustang II brought the name into a smaller, more economical package. Its compact proportions and available luxury or sporting treatments reflected a very different automotive moment.
IDENTIFY THE CONFIGURATION.
A model year is the starting point. Confirm the body style, engine, transmission, axle, market, and factory packages before comparing specifications or ordering parts. A restored or modified Mustang may no longer match its original build.

OWNERSHIP NOTES.
Look carefully at structural rust, suspension mounting areas, cooling-system condition, and incomplete restorations. Model-specific trim can be harder to replace than common mechanical service parts.
The imported 2016 workshop manual is not a substitute for this model year’s service information. Use the correct factory publication.
