NOTE: Carefully install the Fuel Tank Sender Unit Socket to avoid damage to the fuel level sensor when removing the lock ring.

13. Using the lock ring wrench remove the Fuel Level Sensor lock ring.

14. Disconnect the internal fuel tube-to-Fuel Level Sensor quick connect coupling. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING - 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS).
