AM/ FM antenna shield at the AM/ FM antenna amplifier (component side) | AM/ FM antenna amplifier base (unpainted surface on the mounting tab) |
Is the resistance less than 1 ohm?
Yes | INSPECT and REPAIR any corrosion on the AM/ FM antenna amplifier and/or vehicle mounting surface. REINSTALL the AM/ FM antenna amplifier and ensure the proper torque value is achieved. REFER to: Audio Unit Antenna Amplifier (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Removal and Installation). |
|---|---|
No | INSTALL a new AM/ FM antenna amplifier. REFER to: Audio Unit Antenna Amplifier (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Removal and Installation). |
A21 CHECK THE AM (AMPLITUDE MODULATION) / FM (FREQUENCY MODULATION) ANTENNA COMPONENTS
Disconnect and inspect the AM/ FM antenna amplifier connector for the AM/ FM antenna circuits coming from the AM/ FM on-glass antenna grid. REFER to: Audio Unit Antenna Amplifier (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Removal and Installation). Inspect the AM/ FM antenna circuits coming from the AM/ FM on-glass antenna grid. Inspect the AM/ FM antenna circuit connections at the AM/ FM on-glass antenna grid.
Is any damage present on the AM/ FM antenna circuits or connections?
Yes | REPAIR or REPLACE as necessary. |

A22 CHECK FOR CORRECT ACM (AUDIO FRONT CONTROL MODULE) OPERATION
Ignition OFF. Disconnect and inspect all the ACM connectors. Repair:
Corrosion (clean module pins or install new connectors or terminals) Damaged or bent pins (install new terminals or pins) Pushed-out pins (install new pins as necessary)
Reconnect the ACM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes | CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new ACM. REFER to: Audio Front Control Module (ACM) (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Removal and Installation). |
|---|---|
No | The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues. |
