HX3 CHECK THE PCM OUTPUT TO EVAP PURGE VALVE
• Ignition OFF.
• Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Valve connector disconnected.
• Connect a non-powered test lamp between:
Point A Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Valve Connector, Harness Side | Point B Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Valve Connector, Harness Side |

• Ignition ON, engine OFF.
• Access the PCM and control the EVAPCP (PER) PID.
Does the test lamp turn ON and OFF when the output is commanded ON and OFF?

HX4 CHECK THE EVAP PURGE VALVE RESISTANCE
• Ignition OFF.
• Measure the resistance between:
( + ) Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Valve Connector, Component Side | ( - ) Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Valve Connector, Component Side |

REFER to the Workshop Manual Section 303-13, Evaporative Emissions. CARRY OUT the EVAP Test. REFER to the instruction manual provided by the scan tool manufacturer. Clear the PCM DTCs. REPEAT the self-test. |
HX5 CHECK THE VPWR VOLTAGE TO THE EVAP PURGE VALVE
• Ignition ON, engine OFF.
• Measure the voltage between:
