308-001 (T58L-101-B) Remover, Pilot Bearing

Removal

1. NOTE: The pilot bearing is not serviceable on vehicles equipped with a 5.2L engine. Install a new flywheel.

Remove the clutch disc and pressure plate. Refer to: Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate - 2.3L EcoBoost (201kW/273PS) (308-01 Clutch, Removal and Installation). Refer to: Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate - 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS) (308-01 Clutch, Removal and Installation). 2. Using the special tool, remove the pilot bearing. Use Special Service Tool: 308-001 (T58L-101-B) Remover, Pilot Bearing.

Installation

1. Position the pilot bearing in the crankshaft. Using a driver, install the pilot bearing.
