Are any low or high voltage Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded in the ACM, APIM, or FCIM?

Yes	• For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test AQ • For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test AR
No	GO to AO4

Yes

• For DTC U3003:16, GO to Pinpoint Test AQ

• For DTC U3003:17, GO to Pinpoint Test AR

GO to AO4

Review the recorded results from the self-test.

Is DTC U0256:00 set in both the ACM and the APIM?

Yes	GO to AO5
No	• If there is an observable symptom, REFER to: Information and Entertainment System (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Diagnosis and Testing). See Symptom Chart: General Audio System, to diagnose the observed symptom. • If there is no observable symptom, the system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

Yes

GO to AO5

• If there is an observable symptom, REFER to: Information and Entertainment System (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Diagnosis and Testing). See Symptom Chart: General Audio System, to diagnose the observed symptom.

• If there is no observable symptom, the system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.

AO5 CHECK FOR CORRECT FCIM (FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE) OPERATION

Ignition OFF. Disconnect and inspect the FCIM connectors. Repair:

Corrosion (clean module pins or install new connectors or terminals) Damaged or bent pins (install new terminals or pins) Pushed-out pins (install new pins as necessary)

Reconnect the FCIM connectors. Make sure they seat and latch correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?

Yes	CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new FCIM. REFER to: Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Removal and Installation).
No	The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. Address the root cause of any connector or pin issues.

Yes

CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new FCIM. REFER to: Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) (415-00A Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: AM/FM/CD/SYNC, Removal and Installation).
