AC1 CHECK THE RH (RIGHT-HAND) LOWER STEERING WHEEL SWITCH PARAMETER IDENTIFICATIONS (PIDS)
Ignition ON. Using a diagnostic scan tool, view the SCCM Parameter Identifications (PIDs). Monitor the steering wheel switch Parameter Identifications (PIDs) while pressing each RH lower steering wheel switch.
Voice (SW_VOICE) Mute (SW_MUTE) Volume + (SW_VOLUP) Volume - (SW_VOLDOWN) Seek-/Phone (SW_SEEKMINUS)/(SW_PHONE) Seek+/End (SW_SEEKPLUS)/(SW_END)
Do the PID values agree with the switch positions?
Yes | GO to AC10 |

No | • If one or more, but not all PID values are incorrect or always read one particular switch position, INSTALL a new RH lower steering wheel switch. REFER to: Steering Column Multifunction Switch RH (211-05 Steering Wheel and Column Electrical Components, Removal and Installation). • If all PID values are incorrect or always read one particular switch position, GO to AC2 |
AC2 CHECK FOR IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) U0212:00
Ignition ON. Using a diagnostic scan tool, clear the Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) from the IPC. Ignition OFF. Ignition ON. Wait at least 10 seconds. Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Is DTC U0212:00 set in the IPC?
