ICM

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks

Verify BCM fuse 32 (10A) is OK.

PINPOINT TEST H : THE INSTRUMENT CENTER MODULE (ICM) DOES NOT RESPOND TO THE

DIAGNOSTIC SCAN TOOL

H1 CHECK THE ICM (INFORMATION CENTER MODULE) VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT

Disconnect: ICM C2114. Connect negative battery cable. Ignition ON. Measure:

Ground

Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?

Yes

GO to H2

No

VERIFY the BCM fuse 32 (10A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to the Wiring Diagrams manual to identify the possible causes of the circuit short.

H2 CHECK THE ICM (INFORMATION CENTER MODULE) GROUND CIRCUIT

Ignition OFF. Disconnect negative battery cable. Measure:

Is the resistance less than 3 ohms?

Yes

CONNECT negative battery cable. GO to H3

No

REPAIR the circuit.

H3 CHECK THE HS-CAN1 (HIGH SPEED-CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK 1) CIRCUITS BETWEEN THE ICM (INFORMATION CENTER MODULE) AND THE DLC (DATA LINK CONNECTOR) FOR AN OPEN

Disconnect ICM C2114 Measure:
