GT500 RETURNS.

A supercharged 5.2L GT500 arrives with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. Its service requirements differ substantially from GT and GT350 models.

With independent rear suspension across the regular range and an international launch, S550 made the Mustang a more global sports car. EcoBoost, GT, Shelby, Bullitt, and Mach 1 each offered a different interpretation.

IDENTIFY THE CONFIGURATION.

A model year is the starting point. Confirm the body style, engine, transmission, axle, market, and factory packages before comparing specifications or ordering parts. A restored or modified Mustang may no longer match its original build.

The imported 2016 workshop manual is not a substitute for this model year’s service information. Use the correct factory publication.
