3. Remove the radiator. Refer to: Radiator .
NOTE: Radiator internal pressure must not exceed 138 kPa (20 psi). Damage to the radiator can result.
4. Backflush the radiator with radiator turned so the upper radiator hose is at the top and with a high-pressure hose in the upper hose location.
NOTE: The thermostat and housing are serviced as an assembly.
5. Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to: Thermostat Housing .
6. Backflush the engine. Position the high-pressure water hose into the engine through the lower radiator hose and backflush the engine.

7. Install the thermostat housing. Refer to: Thermostat Housing .
8. Install the radiator. Refer to: Radiator .
9. Fill and bleed the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining and Vacuum Filling .
