Is voltage less than 4.8 volts?

Yes	REPAIR the transmission vehicle harness signal return circuit for an open. If an open is not found, INSTALL a new PCM, REFER to: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) . PROGRAM the PCM with the latest calibration level. PERFORM the Solenoid Body Strategy Data Download procedure. REFER to: Transmission Strategy Download .

No	INSTALL a new molded leadframe, REFER to: Shift Solenoids (SS) .

Direct Clutch

For direct (3, 5, R) clutch operation, REFER to: Direct Clutch Assembly . Direct Clutch

Condition Possible Sources Action INSTALL a new solenoid. REFER SSB is mechanically stuck OFF to: Shift Solenoids (SS) . DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the clutch B regulator Direct (3, 5, R) clutch does not valve. REFER to: Main Control apply Clutch B regulator valve stuck OFF Valve Body . If bore or valve is damaged, INSTALL a new main control valve body. REFER to: Main Control Valve Body . DISASSEMBLE, CLEAN and INSPECT the main control valve body. REFER to: Main Control CLB, DRIVE, REV/DRIVE, VFS2 Valve Body . If bore or valve is hydraulic circuits blocked/leaking damaged, INSTALL a new main control valve body. REFER to: Main Control Valve Body . - REMOVE the main control valve Ball valve 1 check ball body, and INSPECT the check ball missing/damaged missing/damage. REFER to: Main Control Valve Body . Center support, direct clutch drum, INSPECT components wear and direct clutch drum Teflon™ seals, damage. CLEAN and/or INSTALL direct clutch friction plates, direct new components as necessary. clutch piston seals REFER to: Transmission .
