Convertible top window drop command

Movable Roof Control Module A (MRCMA)

When the convertible top switch is activated, the Movable Roof Control Module A (MRCMA) sends a message to the Body Control Module B (BCM-B), which then sends a global open signal/command to fully open all windows.

When the RKE transmitter is used to initiate a global open command, the BCM sends the message to the Body Control Module B (BCM-B) which then sends a global open signal/command to fully open all windows.

Climate control requests

APIM (if equipped with touchscreen)

The climate control requests message contains the rear window defrost request information. When the rear window defrost function is requested using voice command or the button is selected on the touchscreen, this input activates the rear window defrost system.

Power Window Operation

NOTE: If the vehicle battery is disconnected while the door window is moving, the one-touch up feature (and obstacle detection) is disabled. The convertible rear window motors do NOT need to be initialized as they do not have one-touch up or one-touch down functions.
