Motor: Component or System Over Temperature

WAIT a minimum of 2 minutes to allow the motor time to cool. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the DTC. SET the ignition to ON. Using the convertible top switch, OPEN or CLOSE the convertible top. If the convertible top does not operate, CARRY OUT the Moveable Roof Control Module B (MRCMB) self-test. If the DTC does not return, DIAGNOSE any other Moveable Roof Control Module B (MRCMB) Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), verify all convertible roof operation entry conditions have been met. REFER to: Convertible Top - Overview (501-18 Convertible Top, Description and Operation). If the DTC returns, the system has not had sufficient time to cool. SET the ignition to OFF and WAIT another 2 minutes, CLEAR the DTC and REPEAT the self-test.

Control Module: Internal Electronic Failure

Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the DTC. SET the ignition to ON. Using the convertible top switch, OPEN or CLOSE the convertible top. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the Moveable Roof Control Module B (MRCMB) self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new Moveable Roof Control Module B (MRCMB). REFER to: Convertible Top Motor (501-18 Convertible Top, Removal and Installation).
