Is the voltage greater than 11 volts?

Yes

GO to D9

No

VERIFY the BJB fuse 19 (20A) is OK. If OK, REPAIR the circuit. If not OK, REFER to the Wiring Diagrams manual to identify the possible cause of the circuit short.

D9 CHECK THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK MODULE VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE

Disconnect BCM C2280G. Disconnect Steering Column Lock Module C2434. Ignition ON. Measure:

Positive Lead Measurement / Action Negative Lead Ground Steering column lock module relay, cavity 5

Is any voltage present?

Yes

REPAIR the circuit.

No

GO to D10

D10 CHECK THE STEERING COLUMN LOCK MODULE VOLTAGE SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

Ignition OFF. Measure:

Positive Lead

Measurement / Action

Negative Lead
