Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks
If the rear video camera is not configured after replacement, some video functions will be inoperative. Verify the rear video camera configuration using the diagnostic scan tool. Verify that the visual parking aid alert is enabled in the FCDIM (4.2 in [107 mm] display) using the display button or using the FDIM (8 in [203 mm] display) settings menu.
PINPOINT TEST C : THE VISUAL PARK AID ALERT IS INOPERATIVE
C1 VERIFY THE VISUAL PART AID ALERT IS ENABLED
Ignition ON. Verify the visual park aid alert is enabled. Refer to the Owner's Literature.
Is the visual park aid alert enabled?
Yes | GO to C2 |

No | ENABLE the visual park aid alert. |
C2 CHECK THE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE PAM (PARKING ASSIST CONTROL MODULE) SELF-TEST
Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the PAM self-test.
Are any PAM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes | REPAIR all PAM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) before continuing this test. REFER to: Parking Aid (413-13A Parking Aid - Vehicles With: Rear Parking Aid, Diagnosis and Testing). |
