E2 CHECK FOR CORRECT GEAR INPUT
Apply the parking brake. While monitoring the reversing lamps, move the selector lever (automatic transmission) or gearshift lever (manual Transmission) through the entire range.
Do the reversing lamps illuminate only in reverse?
Yes | For vehicles equipped with 4.2 in (107 mm) display, GO to E3 For vehicles equipped with 8 in (203 mm) touchscreen display, GO to E4 |

Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the FCDIM self-test.
Are any FCDIM Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) retrieved?

E4 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE APIM (SYNC MODULE) SELF-TEST
Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the APIM self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) retrieved?

E5 CHECK FOR CORRECT FCDIM (FRONT CONTROL/DISPLAY INTERFACE MODULE) OPERATION
Ignition OFF. Disconnect and inspect the FCDIM connector. Repair:
corrosion (install new connector or terminals – clean module pins) damaged or bent pins – install new terminals/pins pushed-out pins – install new pins as necessary
Reconnect the FCDIM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
