AF1 CHECK THE GPS (GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM) ANTENNA RECEPTION
Ignition ON. Access Bezel Diagnostics. REFER to: Bezel Diagnostics (415-00B Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display, General Procedures). Monitor the "Number of Satellites" and "Fix Mode" in APIM Location Information. If the values read less than 3 for "Number of Satellites" or "No GPS Fix" for "Fix Mode," drive the vehicle to an outdoor location that is free from obstacles such as tall buildings or large trees until at least 3 satellites are listed for "Number of Satellites" and "3D" is listed for "Fix Mode."
Can 3 or more satellites and a 3D fix be obtained?
