corrosion (install new connector or terminals – clean module pins) damaged or bent pins – install new terminals/pins pushed-out pins – install new pins as necessary
Reconnect the SODR connector and related in-line connectors. Make sure all connectors seat and latch correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.
Is the concern still present?
Yes | CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, INSTALL a new SODR. REFER to: Side Obstacle Detection Control Module (419-04 Side and Rear Vision, Removal and Installation). |

The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) and Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) System Cannot Be Turned Off In The Message Center.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) is turned off for one key cycle after being disabled in the IPC message center. When the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) is turned off using the message center, it remains off until manually turned back on in the message center. The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) and Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) system menus in the message center are not available when a MyKey® restricted key is in use.

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-Checks
Verify if a MyKey® restricted key is in use. If a restricted key is in use, the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) or the Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) system cannot be turned off in the message center.
