WARNING: Always disconnect the battery ground cable at the battery when working on an evaporative emission (EVAP) system or fuel-related component. Highly flammable mixtures are always present and may be ignited. Failure to follow these instructions may result in serious personal injury.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
1. Position the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview (100-02 Jacking and Lifting, Description and Operation).
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, General Procedures).
3. Disconnect the EVAP canister electrical connector.
4. Remove the bolts, pin type retainers and bracket. Torque : 44 lb.in (5 Nm)
