Removal
1. If required, dimensionally restore vehicle to pre-accident condition. Refer to: Body and Frame (501-26 Body Repairs - Vehicle Specific Information and Tolerance Checks, Description and Operation).
2. Remove the following items:
1. Refer to: Fixed Glass (501-11 Glass, Frames and Mechanisms, General Procedures).
2. Refer to: Back Panel and Reinforcement (501-30 Rear End Sheet Metal Repairs, Removal and Installation).
3. As damage requires. Refer to: Quarter Panel - Coupe (501-30 Rear End Sheet Metal Repairs, Removal and Installation). Refer to: Quarter Panel - Convertible (501-30 Rear End Sheet Metal Repairs, Removal and Installation).
4. Refer to: Luggage Compartment Lid (501-03 Body Closures, Removal and Installation).
3. Position the carpeting and wiring harness away from the working area.
NOTE: Coupe shown, convertible similar.
4. NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.
Drill out the welds. Use the General Equipment: Spot Weld Drill Bit
