8. Remove the following items:

1. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12C Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT/5.0L Ti-VCT V8 (308kW/418PS), Removal and Installation).

2. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille (501-02 Front End Body Panels, Removal and Installation).

3. Refer to: Battery Tray (414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables, Removal and Installation).

9. Remove the fasteners and the cowl extension.

10. Remove the fasteners and the battery heat shield.
