Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the FDIM. Refer to: SYNC Module [APIM] (415-00 Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display) .

2. Remove the screws, disconnect the electrical connector and separate the APIM from the FDIM. Torque : 9 lb.in (1 Nm)

Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure

2. If a new APIM is being installed, program the APIM to the correct software level Refer to: SYNC Module [APIM] Replacement Programming (415-00 Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display) .
