Is any voltage present?

Yes

No

REPAIR the short circuit. Clear the PCM DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

GO to HX53 .

HX30 CHECK THE EVAP VAPOR BLOCKING VALVE RESISTANCE

• Ignition OFF.

• Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vapor Blocking Valve connector disconnected.

• Measure the resistance between:

( + ) Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vapor Blocking Valve Connector, Component Side

( - ) Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vapor Blocking Valve Connector, Component Side

VBV - Pin 1

VPWR - Pin 2

Is the resistance between 23 - 30 ohms?

Yes

No

GO to HX31 .

INSTALL a new Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vapor Blocking valve. REFER to the Workshop Manual Section 303-13, Evaporative Emissions.

Clear the PCM DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

HX31 CHECK THE VOLTAGE TO THE EVAP VAPOR BLOCKING VALVE

• Ignition ON, engine OFF.

• Measure the voltage between:

( + ) Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Vapor Blocking Valve Connector, Harness

Side

( - )

VPWR - Pin 2

Ground

Is the voltage greater than 10.5 V?

Yes

No

GO to HX32 .

REPAIR the open circuit. Clear the PCM DTCs. REPEAT the self-test.

HX32 CHECK THE VBV CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN

• Ignition OFF.

• PCM connector disconnected.

• Measure the resistance between:
