REMOVAL

NOTE: Under no circumstances should the A/C compressor belt, accessory drive belt, tensioner or pulleys be lubricated as potential damage to the belt material and tensioner damping mechanism will occur. Do not apply any fluids or belt dressing to the A/C compressor belt, accessory drive belt or pulleys.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: AIR CLEANER OUTLET PIPE .

2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt .

NOTE: Typical application shown in illustration.

3. Remove the A/C compressor belt.

1. Turn the crankshaft pulley bolt clockwise and feed the stretchy belt tool on to the A/C compressor pulley approximately 180°.

2. Fold the stretchy belt tool under the inside of the A/C compressor belt as shown in illustration.

3. In one quick motion, firmly pull the stretchy belt tool and remove the A/C compressor belt.
