Main Control Valve Body Mechanical Operation

The main control consists of a valve body assembly with solenoids that are controlled by the PCM. The PCM operates the electrical components to provide refined engagement feel, shift feel, and shift scheduling.

To apply the overdrive clutch, the manual valve must be in the DRIVE position. Line pressure is supplied to the clutch E regulator valve.
