8. Using the special tool, remove and discard the countershaft bolt cover. Use the General Equipment: Slide Hammer Dent Puller
9. Install the special tools, position the shift shaft into 4th gear. Use Special Service Tool: 308-938 Remover/Installer, Companion Flange Nut.
