REPAIR the circuit in question.

X7 CHECK FOR CORRECT APIM (SYNC MODULE) OPERATION

Ignition OFF. Disconnect and inspect the APIM connector. Repair:

Corrosion (clean module pins or install new connectors or terminals) Damaged or bent pins (install new terminals or pins) Pushed-out pins (install new pins as necessary)

Reconnect the APIM connector. Make sure it seats and latches correctly. Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

Is the concern still present?

Yes

CHECK OASIS for any applicable Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs). If a TSB exists for this concern, discontinue this test and follow TSB instructions. If no Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) address this concern, PERFORM the APIM Hardware Test.

The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.

The USB Port(s) Is/Are Inoperative Or Does/Do Not Operate Correctly

USB Port: Circuit Short to Ground

Set by the APIM when a short to ground is detected on the USB cable power or data circuits between the USB hub and APIM, or when an over-current condition is detected on the USB cable between the USB hub and APIM.

Continuous and on-demand

B1252:13

USB Port: Circuit Open

Set by the APIM when an open is detected on the USB cable, or when there is an open or short on the USB hub power or ground circuits, causing the USB hub to lose power.

On-demand

B14FD:11 External Media Control

Connectivity: Circuit Short To Ground

Set by the APIM when a short to ground is detected on the USB hub power circuit for more than one second during normal operation.
