Y3 RETEST THE CUSTOMER’S DEVICE
Connect: Customer's device to the remote USB port/cable. Operate the audio system in USB mode and observe the audio output. Disconnect: Customer's device from the remote USB port/cable. Connect: Customer's device to the USB hub. Operate the audio system in USB mode and observe the audio output.
Is the audio system USB output OK with the customer's device connected to the remote USB port/cable andUSB hub port?
Yes | The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by a faulty USB device previously connected to the remote USB port/cable or USB hub, and was corrected by cold booting the APIM software without any devices connected. |

Y4 INSPECT THE REMOTE USB (UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS) PORT/CABLE AND USB (UNIVERSAL SERIAL BUS) HUB
Ignition OFF. Disconnect: Remote USB port/cable (grey-ended USB connector) from the USB hub. REFER to: Universal Serial Bus (USB) Hub (415-00B Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display, Removal and Installation). Inspect the remote USB cable, USB cable ends, and the USB hub USB connector port for damage. Remove any debris.
Is any damage present?
Yes | • For the remote USB port/cable, INSTALL a new remote USB port/cable. REFER to: SYNC Module [APIM] to Universal Serial Bus (USB) Port Cable (415-00B Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display, Removal and Installation). • For the USB hub, INSTALL a new USB hub. REFER to: Universal Serial Bus (USB) Hub (415-00B Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display, Removal and Installation). |

INSTALL a new remote USB port/cable. REFER to: SYNC Module [APIM] to Universal Serial Bus (USB) Port Cable (415-00B Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display, Removal and Installation). Connect: MIT 105-00120 to the remote USB port/cable. Select USB mode on the MIT.
