AD1 VERIFY THE FCIM (FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE) CD (COMPACT DISC) EJECT BUTTON OPERATION
Ignition ON. Operate the audio system in CD mode. Using the FCIM CD EJECT button, attempt to eject the customer's CD.
Does the customer's CD eject?
Yes | GO to AD4 |

No | • If the FCIM EJECT button is responsive, GO to AD2 • If the FCIM EJECT button is not responsive, GO to AD3 |
AD2 VERIFY THAT THE FCIM (FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE) CD (COMPACT DISC) SLOT IS ALIGNED WITH THE ACM (AUDIO FRONT CONTROL MODULE) CD (COMPACT DISC) SLOT
Remove the FCIM, but do not disconnect any electrical connectors. REFER to: Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) (415-00B Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display, Removal and Installation). Using the FCIM CD EJECT button, attempt to eject the customer's CD.
Does the customer's CD eject?
Yes | REINSTALL the FCIM and ensure the FCIM CD slot is properly aligned with the ACM CD slot. REFER to: Front Controls Interface Module (FCIM) (415-00B Information and Entertainment System - General Information - Vehicles With: Touchscreen Display, Removal and Installation). |

AD3 VERIFY THE FCIM (FRONT CONTROLS INTERFACE MODULE) CD (COMPACT DISC) EJECT BUTTON TO ACM (AUDIO FRONT CONTROL MODULE) COMMUNICATION BY CHECKING FOR DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE) U0256:00 SET IN THE ACM (AUDIO FRONT CONTROL MODULE)
Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the ACM self-test.
Is DTC U0256:00 set in the ACM?
Yes | GO to Pinpoint Test AV |
