PINPOINT TEST A : BLIND SPOT INFORMATION SYSTEM (BLIS®) IS INOPERATIVE OR DOES NOT
FUNCTION CORRECTLY
A1 VERIFY THE LH (LEFT-HAND) AND RH (RIGHT-HAND) EXTERIOR MIRROR BLIND SPOT INFORMATION SYSTEM (BLIS®)/CROSS TRAFFIC ALERT (CTA) LED (LIGHT EMITTING DIODE) OPERATION
Ignition OFF. Observe the LH and RH exterior mirror Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®)/Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs). Start the engine.
Do the LH and RH exterior mirror Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®)/Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) illuminate and turn off after approximately 3 seconds?
Yes | GO to A2 |
|---|---|
No | If either LED is inoperative, GO to Pinpoint Test D If either LED is always on, GO to Pinpoint Test C |

Verify the operation of the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®).
Does the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) operate correctly?
Yes | The concern may have been caused by an intermittent condition such as poor weather conditions or the customer's perception of proper Blind Spot Information System (BLIS®) operation. REVIEW the normal system operation with the customer. REFER to the Owner's Literature. |
