1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2. Release the fuel system pressure. Refer to: FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .

3. Disconnect the battery ground. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

Convertible

4. Remove the cowl panel grille. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .

5. Detach the battery cable retainer.

6. Disconnect the positive battery cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .

7. Remove the cowl extension nuts.

Remove the bolts and the cowl extension.
