21. Install the new main bearing cap side bolts.

Torque:

Stage 1: 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)

Stage 2: 90°

1. Position the crankshaft to the rear of the cylinder block.

Use Special Service Tool: 100-002 (TOOL-4201-C) Holding Fixture with Dial Indicator Gauge.

2. Zero the Dial Indicator Gauge.
