Charge Air Cooler (Cac) — Removal — Intake Air Distribution And Filtering - 2.3L EcoBoost (231kW & 314PS) · Reference 6255

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > CHARGE AIR COOLER (CAC) > REMOVAL

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2. Remove the active grill shutter. Refer to: Active Grille Shutter .

3. Remove the 4 bolts and the lower radiator support bracket.

Torque

: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

4. Disconnect the turbocharger boost pressure sensor electrical connector from the CAC.

5. Loosen the clamp and disconnect the CAC inlet tube.
