NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

3. Upload the module information from the diagnostic tool using the Programmable Modules Installation routine. Refer to: MODULE CONFIGURATION .

4. Carry out the Parameter Reset procedure. Refer to: Anti-Theft Security Access .

5. Using the scan tool, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure, following the on-screen instructions.

RH (right-hand) Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT) Oil Control Solenoids

1. Remove the RH valve cover. Refer to: VALVE COVER RH - 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS).

2. Remove the bolts and the RHVCT oil control solenoids.

Torque:

Stage 1: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)

Stage 2: 20°
