131. Remove the direct clutch snap ring.

132. Remove the direct clutch steel and friction plates. Inspect the clutch plates for excessive wear or damage. If the clutch plates are excessively worn or damaged replace as necessary. If the clutch plates are not excessively worn or damaged, they can be reused.

133. Install the special tools and remove the direct clutch balance piston snap ring. Use Special Service Tool: 307-015 Compressor, Clutch Spring., 307-552 Compressor, Clutch Spring.
