137. Remove and discard the outer O-ring seal from the balance piston.

138. Remove and discard the O-ring seals from the apply piston.

139. Inspect the components of the direct clutch for damage. If damage is indicated, install new components as necessary.

140. Install new O-ring seals on the apply piston. Lightly coat the O-ring seals with clean transmission fluid.
