12. Remove the nut and the engine ground wire from the cowl.

13. NOTE: It is not necessary to separate the air cleaner outlet pipe and the air cleaner, the 2 components can be removed as an assembly.

Remove the following items:

1. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe (303-12C Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT/5.0L Ti-VCT V8 (308kW/418PS), Removal and Installation).

2. Refer to: Air Cleaner (303-12C Intake Air Distribution and Filtering - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT/5.0L Ti-VCT

V8 (308kW/418PS), Removal and Installation).

14. Remove the retainers and the radiator top shield.
