Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining and Vacuum Filling (303-03C Engine Cooling - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT/5.0L Ti-VCT V8 (308kW/418PS), General Procedures).

2. Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer

3. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud. Refer to: Cooling Fan Motor and Shroud (303-03C Engine Cooling - 5.0L 32V Ti-VCT/5.0L Ti-VCT V8 (308kW/418PS), Removal and Installation).

4. Remove the retainers and the radiator sight shield.
