2. Remove the air cleaner. Refer to: AIR CLEANER - 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS).

3. Disconnect the LH HO2S and catalyst monitor sensor electrical connectors.

NOTE: Clean the catalytic converter-to-exhaust manifold sealing surfaces.

4. Remove and discard the LH catalytic converter flange nuts.

5. Remove the bolts and the exhaust manifold heat shield.
