6. Start and check the exhaust system for leaks.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FLEXPLATE > REMOVAL

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2. Remove the automatic transmission. Refer to: Transmission - 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS) .

3. Remove the bolts and the flexplate.
