Flywheel — Removal — Engine - 3.7L Duratec (227kW & 301PS) · Reference 5098

NOTE: One of the flexplate holes are offset so the flexplate can only be installed in one position.

1. Install the flexplate and the bolts and tighten in sequence shown in illustration.

Torque

: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)

2. Install the automatic transmission. Refer to: Transmission - 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS) .

3. After completing the repairs, perform the Misfire Monitor Neutral Profile Correction procedure using a diagnostic scan tool.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION > FLYWHEEL > REMOVAL

1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

2. Remove the clutch. Refer to: Clutch Disc and Pressure Plate - 3.7L Duratec (227kW/301PS) .

3. Remove the bolts and the flywheel.
