98. Remove the overdrive clutch pack. Inspect the clutch plates for excessive wear or damage. If the clutch plates are excessively worn or damaged replace as necessary. If the clutch plates are not excessively worn or damaged, they can be reused.
99. Using the special tool and a press, remove and discard the overdrive clutch balance piston retaining ring. Use Special Service Tool: 307-209 Compressor, Spring Washer.
100. Remove the overdrive clutch balance piston.
