197. Remove and discard the pump body outer seal and remove the fluid pump gears.

NOTE: Clean all pump components in solvent and dry the parts with compressed air. Inspect the pump gears, faces, gear teeth and mating surfaces for damage or scoring. Install a new pump if necessary.

NOTE: Some pump internal wear mark or light scratches is normal.

1. Acceptable wear.

2. If the gears are burned, discolored or scored or if the teeth are damaged, install a new pump.
