201. Inspect the torque converter hub bushing for damage or scoring. If the bushing is damaged, install a new pump.

NOTE: Prior to installation, lightly lubricate the pump gears with clean automatic transmission fluid.

202. Install the pump gears with the dot facing the pump plate assembly and install a new pump body outer seal. Lubricate the pump gears and the seal with clean automatic transmission fluid.
